reverse glass painting
These reverse glass paintings were created between 2007-2008 during a year-long artist-in-residence program at Hub-Bub in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
Reverse glass painting is an art form in which the artist applies paint to the underside of a piece of glass, in reverse, essentially painting the details first and the background last. The image is then viewed from the other side of the glass, looking through the glass at the image. For more information on reverse glass painting, look here.
