June 14, 2011 - I will be taking a break from the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Artists Guild this weekend to attend the Hub-Bub AIR Anniversary Show in Spartanburg, SC, where five years of Hub-Bub residents are coming together for an art exhibition and reading. I'll be reading at the Bub this Saturday night, June 18th at 6pm, with my fellow resident Rachel Harkai, and past residents Emily Smith and Patrick Whitfill. Reception to follow, 7-9pm.
May 6, 2011 - Summer Plans! This summer I am honored to have received residencies in fiction writing at the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Artist's Guild, where I will be for the month of June, and at Art Farm Nebraska, where I will be for the month of August.
October 2, 2010 - I will be reading alongside Elissa Bassist and Will Heinrich through the Candlestick Reading Series on October 22, 7:30 pm, at Lumenhouse, 47 Beaver Street, Brooklyn. The Candlestick Readings and Book Club, curated by Sam White, is "a series of literary get-togethers where Jewish writers read their work and talk about writing." Hope to see you there!
August 31, 2010 - I contributed a post about bagels to my dear friends Jordan Melnick and Robby Campbell's new blog Beached Miami. The blog is about trying to find the heart and soul of Miami, the problematic city we grew up in.
May 7, 2010 - I participated in Single Fare, a show of artworks on used MetroCards. It actually riffed perfectly off a project I did in 2005, sharing my happy thoughts on the backs of MetroCards. So I sent them a card of one of my happy thoughts: The letter "Z" in line with a Triple Word Score on a Scrabble board. Check out pictures from the show at the site, linked above. It's up until May 12th at 224 Grand Street in Williamsburg.

February 11, 2010 - The Endangered World Project will be up at Convoy Point, Biscayne National Park from February 18th - May 1st. There will be a special meet and greet reception February 28th, 2010 from 6 pm - 8 pm. There will be an indoor exhibit in the Dante Fascell Visitor's Center, with works on paper by Xavier Cortada, and an outdoor exhibit with 360 flags of endangered species from around the world, created by participants from all over South Florida.
