Artist Statement
My most recent work stems from a basic impulse to document things in order to keep them. It is dominated by feelings of nostalgia and longing. I am particularly concerned with the concept of home, and with the people and places and things that constitute home in the many different places I have traveled and lived.
My work usually adopts a graphic style, with black outlines and flat colors. I am often drawn to craft materials and techniques, and have used the reverse glass painting technique and the Greek iconographic style (amongst others) to explore the aforementioned themes.
I also make anagrams. Just 'cuz.
